BEFORE NEWS21: I was opinion editor of Northern Arizona University’s student newspaper, The Lumberjack, for two years. During that time, I also covered music for The Noise Arts and News and contributed soccer-related content to Football.com. I also have written business stories for The Arizona Republic and Phoenix Business Journal.

WHAT ARE YOU WORKING ON? I am covering California’s medical marijuana industry, which is as complex as one might expect from the first state to legalize medical marijuana.

FUN FACT: I’ve performed in about 20 musicals and plays, and I spent a summer honing my craft in the Young Performers’ Conservatory at the La Jolla Playhouse. However, I haven’t graced a stage since high school.
