NAME: Brittan Jenkins, Ethics and Excellence Fellow

SCHOOL: University of Oklahoma, 2015 graduate

BEFORE NEWS21: I worked at Oklahoma Watch for a year and helped lead a mobile-video project funded by the Online News Association. The project’s goal was to start a conversation between residents of low-income communities and lawmakers and city leaders.

WHAT ARE YOU WORKING ON? I’m looking into medical marijuana in California and the ways the industry is regulated on state, county and city levels.

FUN FACT: I’ve never won any journalism awards.
