NAME: Kelcie Johnson, Ethics and Excellence Fellow

SCHOOL: Arizona State University, junior

BEFORE NEWS21: News21 is my first internship. My work has been published in the Apache Junction Gold Canyon Independent, North Central News, Downtown Devil and The State Press.

WHAT ARE YOU WORKING ON?  I am working on capturing the culture around cannabis. Public opinion on legalizing cannabis is changing. Why?

FUN FACT:  The dimple in my right cheek was an accident. When I was 9,  I rolled my dad’s homemade go kart. I came out with scrapes up the side of my back, a huge bump on my forehead, a chunk of hair missing and a dimple. I always wear my helmet now.
